The movie depicts the implementation of another artistic project of one of the most popular Brazilian artists – Vik Muniz, on the largest waste dump in the world, which until recently existed in Rio de Janeiro. The artist persuaded people collecting plastic, glass and rubber from the rubbish to trust him, let him get to know them and photograph them, and help him create impressive images referring to the canon of painting from the waste. What is important, the characters in the documentary do not ask for mercy – they want the viewers to appreciate the hard work on the dump and see how their lives change for a while, owing to Vik. The movie was nominated for an Oscar in the documentary feature category.
