Vice-minister Paweł Sałek meets the ambassador of Fiji to the EU

Organisation of the COP23 conference by Fiji and its cooperation in this area with Poland as the upcoming COP24 Presidency were the leitmotivs of the meeting between Paweł Sałek, Vice-Minister of Environment, Government Plenipotentiary for Climate Policy and Deo Saran, Ambassador of Fiji to the EU.

Vice-Minister Paweł Sałek proposed on behalf of Professor Jan Szyszko, Minister of Environment, to establish cooperation between Poland and Fiji in the field of organising the COP climate conferences. Both parties pointed out their focus on climate protection and seamless organisation of these international events.

During the meeting, Vice-Minister Sałek and Ambassador Saran have discussed also the other issues, including coastal economy and renewable energy sources.

The meeting was held on 20 January 2017 in Brussels.
