The Conference will be attended by several thousand of people from around the world, including the head of states and ministers of environment, policy-makers and representatives of non-governmental organisations, science and business.
The event includes the following: 24th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24) along with the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 14) and the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 1).
According to Professor Jan Szyszko, Minister of Environment: - “Organisation of the COP24 summit is an outstanding and prestigious challenge and therefore its adequate setting is of such a great significance. I wish the logo of this event accompanied both the conference itself and this-year preparations. The winning author of the COP24 logo selected by the jury will gain the opportunity of promotion at the international arena and therefore designing the logo by one of the students from the Polish academies of art is so important”.
“I sincerely invite to participate in the competition to create the symbol which will become the flagship of the next-year international climate summit” – adds the Minister.
Competition on the COP conference logo is addressed to the students of the faculties of art. The winning design will form the basis to develop the entire visual identity system for the conference.
The deadline to submit the designs in the competition is on 7 April this year.
